Summer Solstice Brought Me Emma Stone. Twice.

Whelp!  The longest day of the year was pretty thweet - Woke up with minor headache after drinking two beers last night and then scaling a fence with my friend Emily.

I said good morning to Pecker the Impeccable Penis Shadow outside my window:

and then put on my running clothes and hit the highway. Beautiful day today. But my headache prevented me from running at my usual pace of slow so instead I walked downtown, visited the Chelsea Market where I shamelessly sampled EVERYTHING and also purchased some new bowls on sale at Anthropologie.

Then I met the girls for lunch @ Frankie something or other in the West Village where we wrapped up our conversation about innie vs outtie Vaginas from last night. Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better - we spotted Emma Stone with that guy she is dating, you know - the one who played Spider-Man.

It was pretty awesome considering she's a PHENOMINAL actress and I LOVED her in Super Bad. I knew she would be a star when I saw her in that movie. Anyway, I snapped a photo from behind and posted it to fb.

SCORE. Anyway, the day was a good time but I started feeling gnarly. I ignored it and spent all day outdoors with with my two friends & then got a delicious Pistachio Almond ice cream cone from Baskin Robbins on my way home.
Phone died so I couldn't grab a photo but it was fucking good. Looked just like this pic below.

Once I got home - out of almost nowhere, a cold hit me like a bag of wet laundry.  G-d dammit. Turns out that headache was my snot compiling in my brain.

So I did what everyone does when they catch a cold. Took emergen-c, canceled my plans dammit, ordered matzoh ball soup from 810 Deli in midtown, Indian food from the place down the street, made some tea and turned on the boob tube. To my thrilling surprise Super Bad was on! Score again!  Emma Stone twice in one day!!!!!

I called my friends to make sure they heard how snotty I sounded and why I wasn't coming out on a Saturday night. One of them reminded me of the Summer Stolstice. I quickly went to the window and snapped a photo of my fave view ever: NYC sunset! Enjoy!

Great day over all. Even with this stupid cold - the sunset, solstice, summer and Emma Stone makes it worth the snot.

PS - Don't forget to donate to their charities!  I chose this one: www.autismspeaks.org.

DO IT!
